Loved by our customers
Adding Avo to my project was like adding multiple developers to my team - and that's before I even purchased a license!
Easy to set up: only takes a few minutes to generate your config, connect some models, and have a basic admin panel to start iterating on.
We are heavily used Avo Pro in order to build a new "admin first" platform that can be managed by our non-tech team with ease.
The interface is extremely intuitive and can be extended fast with custom actions.
I found AVO and decided to give it a try with my team. Some days later I was in love with it, but still testing it to be sure every small detail of our business will be covered. Weeks later we cannot stop developing in AVO.
Avo is legit. I like the licensing scheme. Open-source community or paid for power users. Very accessible. I love the quick release cycle. Very active! Docs and videos are helpful and very easy to read. Adrian and his group have done a superb job getting the word out in the Rails community. I look forward to seeing its success in the future. Excellent product!!!
Avo, for me as a freelance webdev, was a gift. You can build beautiful admin panels in the true Rails spirit, fast and effective.
Not does it only look great, but it has all the latest bells and whistles from Rails, like Hotwire.
Avo is the first well documented admin gem that is able to deal with all types of objects provided by active record, including polymorphic models and direct upload for cloud storage providers.
Thank you for this wonderful product.
My team uses AVO and I must say it is very good and has helped us Build Faster and save time. This is a must-use by engineering teams worldwide. Awesome tool @adrianthedev
Integration was a breeze and even things like custom fields were really simple to add.
Definitely loving the experience compared to ActiveAdmin.
Avo is a beautiful Rails based administration system. In comparison to competitors, it wins in it's visual style immediately and that's not taking into account all of its features.
It's simple to use, has excellent documentation, and anything that is not covered is helped super quickly and efficiently by Adrian.
Highly recommended!
After many years and many systems built with Rails, I've seen the pattern where many of the same parts are built over and over again. I eventually began to wonder: Is there something like a “Ruby on Rails … on Rails”? That's what Avo is to me! It's Rails on Rails! I love being able bring tools and capabilities online for my clients without spending time on the things that are ALWAYS THE SAME. Avo is really well done. The ROI on the Pro license has been immediate, sizable, and continuous. It's a no-brainer.
You'll need to invest time in the docs, but this will leave you implementing features you haven't thought of because they are both straightforward to implement and beneficial to the user.
The Avo team has their finger on the pulse and has built a modern reactive solution with great support and regular updates.
There is much value in here.
I needed something snappy and reliable that would help me focus on the truly unique aspects of my application rather than the boilerplate.
Avo gave me exactly what I was looking for in the moment, and somehow anticipated the features I'd need later on down the line.
Avo has enabled our team and client to collaborate in a much more seamless way.
Our favorite thing about Avo is the feature-loaded modern web interface and the ease of customizing from fields to pages is also impressive.
Amazing documentation: the documentation for Avo is among the best out there. All features are well documented, and @adrianthedev does a fantastic job keeping the docs up to date with each release including video walkthroughs of major features.
I was hand-rolling an admin dashboard for this community database of third-party RPG content. It was painful for them to use but this morning I just dropped Avo in and suddenly it's a dream!
Means I can focus on the user-facing stuff without worrying about neglecting the data entry people 🤣
Our first community curator has had such a seamless experience working with the Avo backend that we're pushing the project beyond the one catalogue we were initially creating, to making this a platform for other communities to benefit from as well.
@avo_hq is awwwwesome!!! I love the new dashboard @adrianthedev 👏👏👏
Avo is just awesome. We migrated our custom admin dashboard within a few weeks...
It saved us hundreds of hours of development work and we could focus on our main business!
We love the quick (and awesome) support and the weekly release cycle with great updates.
A real game changer! :)
After seeing what Avo can do, during a live demo by @adrianthedev, I highly recommend it. Even if you're not a Rails dev, you should get in on this gem!
Flexible customization: Avo offers many ways to go beyond the basic built in views, forms, and actions to add additional customization to your admin solution.
Great community: Avo has an actively engaged community through GitHub and Discord that's available to answer issues, contribute ideas, and collaborate on new features.
I am a RoR developer and currently designing an admin panel with AVO. AVO is so intelligent and we can make our admin panel within hours. Thanks @adrianthedev for making this.
The main selling point of Avo for me was the speed of being able to build a simple CRUD interface. I like the customizability of the system, which is something I would take heavy advantage of
I consider Avo to be a part of my default stack going forward. Hats off to @adrianthedev and team. Excellent product that keeps getting better!
Avo has let me push further on the features my users benefit from most whilst trusting I am giving volunteer curators a backend experience I can still be proud of.
It's a real multiplier on the project and adopting it was undoubtedly the best technical decision we've made.
I've been working with Rails for almost a decade now, and I've tried every popular admin panel gem out there.
Avo is hands-down the best solution we've found to quickly iterating on products and building tools to support and administrate our platforms.
I do not like DSLs. They always cause troubles in the long run. But this one seems "natural" I didn't even notice.
A (HUGE!) side benefit we've seen in implementing Avo has been surfacing of platform issues - missing associations, opportunities for delegators and collaborators, etc. Our underlying models and interactions have become much more robust as we've implemented Avo as we can quickly identify relationships and optimizations without doing full-fledged, user-facing feature work.
After doing more research and comparing to some alternatives I chose Avo because I liked the modern interface and it appeared to be well maintained and active on GitHub
The Avo team themselves have been so responsive and helpful with any questions, concerns or requests.
Releasing half of your app to a single gem is a daunting prospect, but I have experienced how much the team respects their users and appreciates their responsibility.
Avo is so f***ing awesome. I am a java developer with 25 years of experience. I looked for a rapid application framework to build an internal ERP system for my small company. Its sooooo good. As a java developer without much ruby and rails know-how (only 1 or 2 tutorials), I could build up most of what I needed in ONE weekend. I wish I had that for java!!!.
Data security has always been an important consideration for us, so Avo gives us peace of mind integrating with our in-house authentication system.
I've spent time looking into solutions that complement a sensible modern stack that gets you to the point of focussing on the product you're building sooner and does not induce conceptual compression along the way.
Avo fits nicely into that stack.
I would never build a custom admin panel in the future.
We wasted too much money and could not focus on our main business.
Avo has allowed us to develop and release apps rapidly even with very few developers working on them. We can focus our efforts on domain logic and custom design where it really matters. Every other Rails CMS is difficult to style or scale or add custom fields, but Avo has been a dream throughout. It's been a game-changer for us.
The discord community for Avo is also great, the devs are there to help us out should you have any questions.
Avo is a gem (no pun intended) and you should check it out!
Avo has been a dream to work with and we quickly took the leap to utilizing Avo Pro.
From easily implementing search, to great docs, to providing charts out of the box, to the beautiful API — Avo is everything I've been looking for in an administration toolkit.
